Details

Wincham Brook is an interesting venue due to the variety of fish, with Grayling and Trout occasionally being taken. Although access is somewhat difficult in some places, it can be worth the effort to catch a different species than most of our other waters.

Please bear in mind that this little brook drains quite a lot of land therefore the levels can fluctuate rapidly during and after rainfall.

Specific Rules

  • Fishing is permitted during the period 15th March to 15th June but is restricted to Fishing for Trout Only using an artificial fly or by fishing with worm.

  • Wincham Brook is affected by over head power lines and extreme care should be taken when using lead cored or or carbon fly lines.

  • Keepnets are not allowed between March 15th and June 15th
