Details

Considered by many to be the jewel in the Northwich crown, this is undoubtedly a fantastic water.

This is, indeed, a large water and caters for all needs. No matter what you are after, the Weaver is a great place for a good session. The river has been 'canalised' along much of its length, originally to allow passage to the salt barges from Winsford. This has produced a slow running (usually) and consistent water, with good straight sections ideally suited to match angling.

There are arms and double lengths along with locks and sluices, giving many features for all types of angling.

In the town centre, the Dane runs into the Weaver, alongside the Floatel, always a popular venue which is easily accessed from the adjacent car park. This section produces fantastic Winter bags up to 100lb.

Carp & Pike are very well established in the river and recently the Pike seem to be more numerous.

It is used for matches on most weekends, so please check your location before setting out for a session.
