Details
The River Dane is a very dynamic and free
flowing river which ends its journey in Northwich town centre. It is very
susceptible to rainfall, with the height of the water varying wildly over a
twenty four hour period. The clarity of the water is also very variable,
mostly due to the sandy banks that get eroded as the river rises and falls.
The river is locally famous for its Barbel
which run into double figures, there are also many good Chub in the river
Just occasionally, we get trout from higher up the river. NAA access
is from the A556 to the town centre, but please consult the map for allowed
pegs.
Note also, that there are matches on the
Dane, usually in the town centre,
so you'll need to plan ahead.
